2-03-09 Practice Summary
NOTE: I have a PCS Art Educator's Meeting next Tuesday (2-10-09) so practice is canceled.
We had a great practice! Four cheerleaders from DH Conley came out to teach material and work on skills for this coming Friday. Here is what we worked on;
Side line chants
-Oh my- it's DH Conley High (anytime chant)
-Shoot two through the hoop- go 'head, go 'head (offense)
-Hey, hey- what do ya say take that ball the other way (defense)
Tuck jumps to 8-count

This Friday we will be performing a cheer with the
DH Conley High School Varsity Cheerleaders!!

Time:
Meet in front of the DHC gym entrance at 5:30 on Friday, February 6.
After
the performance during half-time, the PCCSR cheerleaders are free to
stay with their parents or they may leave after being checked off. ET
time for performance, 6:30.
Important Cost Information:
Cheerleaders
will be let in for free. Parents and guests will need to pay to enter
the game. The entrance fee is $6.00 for adults and $5 for school aged
children.
Description of Activity:
The girls will stretch and
then go over the cheer with the DHC Cheerleaders before the girl’s
game. The PCCSR cheerleaders will sit together as a group by the DHC
Cheerleaders as they cheer on the girls’ basketball team. The PCCSR
cheerleaders and the DHC cheerleaders will perform a cheer together
during the halftime of the girl’s game. After the performance, the
PCCSR cheerleaders are free to stay with their parents or they may
leave after being checked off.
What to wear?
I will be
bringing the PCCSR cheer shirts to the game, cheerleaders may come in a
white t-shirt and then just put the PCCSR shirt over it. Please wear
black pants that allow for movement, plain black if possible. All
cheerleaders will need to have their hair up and wear tennis shoes. I
will bring a hair ribbons.
Today's Objectives (from board)
Today I will learn about coopertation.
My job today is to learn from the DHC cheerleaders.
Cheer Assignment:
Make a thank you card. (we gave these to the DHC cheerleaders at the end of practice)
