Who?

• Cheerleaders will represent Pitt County Community Schools and Recreation (PCCSR).  Our colors are purple and gold.  At the time of this web update, we have 13 team members in grades K-3.

What?

• The focus for this session of PCCSR cheerleading is learning cheerleading fundamentals, such as proper motion technique and basic cheers and chants. 

Where?

For the first meeting we will have a parent meeting in room 501, the art room at Wintergreen Primary School.

• All team practices will be held on the campus of Wintergreen Primary School. 
• Students will be dropped off and picked up from the art room at Wintergreen Primary. (501).
• Practices begin promptly at 4:00 and end at 5:00.  Please be on time to pick up your cheerleader(s). You will need to park and come inside to room 501 to check your student out.
• Students must be signed in and out at each meeting. For your cheerleader’s safety, no one will be permitted to ride home with anyone other than the parent/guardian unless it has been discussed and documented in advance.
• Practices will begin and end in the art room at WGP. (501)  We will practice in the multipurpose room across from the classroom. 
• The door will open at 5 minutes til.  Cheerleaders are to come and and follow the directions on the board for the opening drawing/craft activity.  Stretching and cheering will follow.

When?

• *This program will run on Tuesdays from 4-5 at Wintergreen Primary.  The start date is Tuesday, January 27 and the last day we will meet will be Tuesday, March 3.   Any changes to the schedule will be made in advance, in written and web format.
 

Additional Information:

• Please wear athletic clothes to practice.  Tennis shows, t-shirts and shorts or pants are preferable.  Please no jeans.  Cheerleaders will need to wear hair up and off of the shoulders.
• Please do not bring a snack to practice, as we only have one hour.  However, please try and remember to bring a water bottle.
